Brina Kuslak
Brina collaborates with Cicero’s healthcare policy experts to furnish evidence for policies and craft materials advocating for an improved healthcare landscape. Formerly a clinical research assistant at Baylor Scott & White Hospital’s Warriors Research Institute, her aspiration to become a physician ignited a passion for understanding the political dynamics influencing healthcare. Brina sees Cicero as a unique platform aligning economic incentives with policies beneficial to the public. This approach motivates her to contribute. Brina, soon to attend the University of Texas at Tyler School of Medicine, has a published meta-analysis on cognitive remediation for mood disorders. Raised in Lindale, Texas, she witnessed community support amid economic and medical challenges, shaping her commitment to genuine care. Brina, a former collegiate volleyball player and assistant coach, holds a Neuroscience and Behavior major from Wesleyan University.
