Tanner Jones

Research Assistant

Tanner Jones hails from Minnesota and is a graduate of Dartmouth College. He earned a B.A. in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics with a minor in Classical Studies. As an undergraduate researcher, Tanner worked with faculty on topics including regulatory policy, American foreign policy, and classical philosophy. He also wrote a column for the Dartmouth newspaper and competed at an international level for Dartmouth's powerlifting team. Tanner's favorite Dartmouth experience was attending the tercentenary of Adam Smith's birth in Glasgow with the Economics department. Outside of the classroom, Tanner developed a keen interest in efficient and commonsense policymaking. As the founder and CEO of Downballot Solutions, he worked in local government and school board elections to promote reasonable politics. Tanner is also a national champion coach of competitive high school debaters.
